UV grade Fused silica
For elements with high requirements for transmittance within 190-2600 nm range Elan offers the usage of Russian equivalent to Corning 7980 or Schott Lithosil Q2.
Fused silica is a chemical combination of silicon and oxygen. It is made of pure synthetic material that causes very high transmission of FS in UV, visible and IR ranges. Among the advantages of fused silica are low coefficient of thermal expansion, wide thermal operating range and high damage threshold.
Elan uses UVgrade fused silica for fabrication of various flats and prisms.
